Will your candidates prioritise tackling sexual exploitation in the new government?

In the run up to the general election we are calling on the new government to:  

  1. Make pornographic content that sexualises children illegal online, as it already is offline.   

  1. Make it illegal to possess, produce or host pornography that includes acts that meet the international definition of torture.  

  1. Introduce regulation to end the trafficking and exploitation that is rife within the pornography industry and which normalises violence against women and girls.  

  1. Ensure age verification for any site carrying pornographic content is regulated by Ofcom to the standard set out in the Online Safety Act.   

  1. Introduce a progressive legal model of prostitution regulation, such as the Nordic Model, which deters demand for paid sex, supports victims of sexual exploitation, and prevents pimping websites from fuelling exploitation and sex trafficking.
